Hector Berlioz
La Belle Voyageuse

Alpha 024 - 1 CD

Collection:

Ut pictura musica

Berlioz was better known for his full-scale choral works. However, he was also one of the very first composers of French melodies. Composed between 1829 and 1850, these 'mélodies' are finely worked miniatures, in which we perceive his quest for a personal language and a desire for novelty.

Jérôme Corréas, baryton-basse
Arthur Schoonderwoerd, pianoforte

Pianoforte Ignace Pleyel de 1836

Avec la participation de :
Marie-Bénédicte Souquet, soprano
Claire Brua, mezzo-soprano
Alain Gabriel, Jean-François Novelli, ténor
Vincent Deliau, baryton
Christophe Coin, violoncelle
Claude Maury, cor

Enregistré en septembre 2001 à Paris
à la chapelle de l'hôpital Notre-Dame de Bon Secours
